US News Best SchoolsU.S. News & World Report Tuesday announced the 2015 Best High Schools rankings, highlighting top-performing public schools on both the state and national level. The 2015 rankings, available exclusively at usnews.com, include data on more than 21,150 public high schools.

U.S. News differentiates high schools with gold, silver and bronze medals, using gold medals to indicate the greatest level of college readiness. In this year’s edition of Best High Schools, 6,517 schools received medals.

Among Indiana schools in the 2015 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, there are 47 silver medal schools and 94 bronze medal schools.

This is not the first time U.S. News & World Report has landed PHS in the spotlight. Matter of fact, this is the fourth time in the last eight years that Plymouth High School has made the list. This is the third time PHS received a Silver Medal.

In 2014 Plymouth High School came in 12th within the Hoosier state earning PHS a Silver Medal.  In 2013, PHS ranked 26th on the state’s top public high school list earning a Silver Medal and in 2010, PHS received a Bronze Medal.

Plymouth High School Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Plymouth High School is 37 percent. The student body makeup is 49 percent male and 51 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 23 percent.
