The Indiana State VEX Championship will take place at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis this Saturday in the Warren Central Field-house.
In the VEX Robotics Competition, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the state in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
Three of the six Plymouth High School Robotics teams have qualified for the state tournament and are excited to be hitting the road around 5 A.M. Saturday to head down to Indy to compete.
Team members include A-Team: Kevin Bachman 12, Jeremy Shidler 12, Michael Eads 10, Lauren Wiegand 10 and Zacc Hutchings 11.
B-Team members are:Jessica Doody 10, Emory Smith 10, Jason Doody 12, Noah Harrell 10, Dennis Miley 9, Nathanael Shafer 9, Janessa Salazar 12
The G-Team is made up of: Trey Metheny 10, Skyler Beindorf 10, Chris Natzel 9 , Josiah Webster 9 (bottom middle)
