CentennialPark_enteranceThe Webster Center will be getting new air-conditioning before the hot weather arrives.

Last month the Plymouth Park Board opened four bids on the AC project.  They were taken under advisement and Monday night Park Superintendent Mike Hite recommended going with the bid from Bowman’s Tin Shop for $11,368 which includes a 5 year warranty.

Superintendent Hite was also given permission to start the advertising process for summer help.

The board also approved the request of the Girl Scouts for free use of the Hoosier Old Wheels shelter on April 18th and the request of Liz Richie from Learning Tree Day Care to use the Conservation Club House this summer for her program.  This partnership has been in place for a number of years and has worked well for both involved.

Park Board President, Dave Morrow appointed and executive committee to begin the review and update process for the park’s 5-year plan.  Executive committee members will be Morrow, Mike Kershner and Jim Causey.  They will make recommendations to the full board for changes including additions and deletions.  Morrow said they will also conduct a community input session on the 5-year plan too.  The board is being proactive on the renewal that isn’t due until early 2016.
