MugShot_Jason PhillipsOn Wednesday, October 22nd, at approximately 10:15 p.m. officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 13,000 block of State Road 17 in reference to a domestic violence situation where a pregnant female was allegedly battered.

County police officers Bryant, McFarland and Sergeant Beam investigated the complaint and located the female who had fled from the residence. Plymouth EMS was requested to treat her for her injuries. Officers then went to the residence at 13428 State Road 17 to locate the suspected subject, Jason Phillips. Mr. Phillips had fled the home prior to officer’s arrival.

Through their investigation it was discovered that a young boy in the home was also battered. The investigating Officer, Jonathan Bryant, was able to track 34 year old Mr. Phillips down in Rochester on October 23rd and with the assistance of Rochester Police he was taken into custody without incident.

Jason Phillips is currently lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Domestic battery in the presence of a child, Battery on a pregnant woman resulting in bodily injury and neglect of a dependent. He currently has a $5000.00 cash bond.
