On October 9, of this year the Plymouth Police Department received a report regarding the theft and unauthorized uses from the reporter’s debit/credit card in the 700 block of West Jefferson Street. Further investigation revealed that unauthorized transactions in excess of $1,000.00 had occurred.

An investigation by city officers led them to 42 year old Kristen Hayes of Plymouth. Hayes was located and questioned on October 22nd. She was then arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Credit Card Fraud and Theft. Her cash bond was set at $1,500.00 cash.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
