Members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety ratified the bid which was awarded to Haskins Underground of Plymouth for the Beerenbrook and West Jefferson Streets storm sewer project Monday night.
Haskins was the lowest bidder of the six received and opened at the July 14th meeting. At that meeting the board allowed the contract to be awarded after review by City Attorney Sean Surrisi and Engineer Mark Sullivan of Midwestern Engineers to keep the project moving forward. Their bid was $412,067 which includes alternate 1A and 2A which is the entire milling and paving of the street after the project verses just patching the trench for the project. Davidson said, “It will be a much cleaner job and completely under budget.”
Substantial completion is expected within 75 days and final completion at 105 day, roughly mid November.
