Potawatomi Park_storm damageThe recent storm that left destruction across Marshall County on July 1st left Potawatomi Park without electricity for two days and approximately 20 downed trees to clean up. Despite the damage, the park remained open to dozens of visitors during the two days without electricity. Although trails remain open, cleanup continues with three trees yet to be removed.
As a tip to volunteers and users Michael Stephan, Executive Director of the Park said, “Clearing trails of sticks and branches while walking the trails helps the park and is a good way to teach service to kids.”

and possibly used in a planed porch addition to the Boots Cabin.
