07/09/14 On Friday, July 4th at 6:51 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer responded to Wal-Mart in reference of a female shoplifter. Officer Gilmore located and arrested 20 year old Olivia M. Ketcham of Plymouth for theft. She was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 bond.
A short time later at 7:37 P.M. Friday evening Officer Gilmer initiated a traffic stop on US 30 east of Plymouth Goshen Trail for a traffic violation. 30 year old Arturo Moreno of Illinois was found to operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $755 cash bond. Moreno was released on July 5th after posting bond and received an August 12th Superior Court II date for his initial hearing.
On Sunday, July 6th during the evening hours Officer Gilmer conducted a traffic stop in 2500 block of north Oak Road for a traffic violation. 22 year old Christopher L. Erickson II of Plymouth was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 bond. Erickson was released on July 6th after posting bond and is scheduled to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on July 15th.
At 8:58 P.M. Officer Benjamin McIntyre responded to 128 Dickson Street in reference to a property damage accident. Arriving on the scene, Officer McIntyre observed a parked passenger car that had been struck by a moped. Contact was made with 51 year old Terry Heider of Plymouth who appeared to be under the influence of something. After failing a field sobriety test Mr. Heider was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test that he failed for a controlled substance. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.
On Monday, July 7th at 3:08 P.M. Officer Matthew Emenhiser was dispatched to Green Street for an intoxicated female walking and yelling in traffic. Officer Emenhiser made contact with 21 year old Alexis L. Tanner of Plymouth who was found to be extremely intoxicated. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $505 cash bond.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that t crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. The suspect is presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and is entitled to be represented by counsel and a trial by jury at which the state is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
