01/24/14  Plymouth Police Chief Dave Bacon presented the December activity report and the totals for 2013 to the Board of Public Works and Safety last week.  He noted that a new report was being used and only pertinent types of calls and numbers are now being provided. 

Taking a look at the December totals you see 619 calls for information and 188 complaints.  City officers responded to 165 9-1-1 calls and 33 alarms.  Plymouth Police conducted 190 traffic stops, issued 79 citations, investigated 37 accidents and wrote 83 case reports.    In December city officers made 29 arrests, used K-9 Jax 12 times, handled 21 animal complaints and assisted other agencies 26 times. 

Looking at the year-end report for 2013 you see that the Plymouth Police Department handled 8538 calls for information conducted 3515 traffic stops and investigate 2801 complaints.  City officers issued 1862 citations, responded to 2067 calls from 9-1-1, wrote 1472 case reports and made 648 arrests.  Last year Plymouth Police responded to 513 alarms and 488 animal complaints, took 428 accident reports, assisted other agencies 392 times and the City’s K9 Jax was used 204 times.
