01/17/14 Elkhart County – At this time detectives with the Indiana State Police are continuing to investigate several different avenues in an attempt to determine a motive in the tragic shooting that occurred late Wednesday night at the Martins Super Market in Elkhart.
Over the next several days the state police will interview dozens of family, friends and acquaintances of those involved in the incident. State Police Detectives are currently reviewing the autopsy findings and analyzing the video footage from the store. Additionally they will delve into the background of Shawn Bair. As well, the state police are working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to track down the origin and ownership of the gun.
