09/25/13 On Monday, September 23rd at approximately 11:25 p.m. Marshall County Deputy Nicholas Laffoon conducted a traffic stop at US 31 south of Kenilworth Road. Prior to the stop a verification of the license plate on the vehicle revealed that the registered owner did not have a valid Indiana driver’s license. During the traffic stop Deputy Laffoon learned that the owner of the vehicle was in fact the driver identified, 40 year old Paul L. Vargas of Star City. Vargas was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a charge of Operating a Vehicle After a Lifetime Suspension and booked in without a bond.
