12/12/13 An accident on U.S. 30 Wednesday morning has left one man dead. Starke County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash on U.S. 30 just east of CR 600 when a westbound semi crossed the median and struck an SUV in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the semi refused medical treatment. The accident is still under investigation awaiting blood test results but alcohol is not believed to be a factor at this time.
Names are currently being withheld pending notification of family members.
