08/23/13 Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN-02) Wednesday held a town hall meeting at the Fulton County Council Chambers in Rochester to provide a legislative update on her efforts in Washington to control federal spending and answer questions from constituents.

“I appreciate the opportunity to meet with Second District Hoosiers to hear their questions and concerns firsthand,” said Walorski.  “Hardworking Hoosier families are rightly concerned about wasteful Washington spending that drives our national debt and slows economic growth.  I look forward to meeting with more constituents throughout the remainder of August recess to listen to opinions and answer questions about pressing issues and my efforts in Congress to create more jobs.”

During the town hall, Congresswoman Walorski delivered a presentation on her current legislative initiatives and committee work (as a member of the House Armed Services, Budget, and Veterans’ Affairs Committees), and provided an update on America’s budget outlook.  Afterwards, Walorski answered numerous questions from constituents on topics including health care, immigration, NSA surveillance, and tax reform.

Approximately 50 Second District Hoosiers joined the Rochester meeting, with residents from South Bend to Miami County in attendance.
