06/10/13  On Friday, June 7th at approximately 2:36 AM Plymouth Police Officer Tim Taberski responded to a dispatch from the Marshall County 911 Center to US 30 eastbound of State Road 17.   The caller advised of a vehicle heading to the Fort Wayne area with a female being held against her will by members of the Latin King gang. 

Officer’s from the Plymouth Police Department located the vehicle and initiated a felony traffic stop along with officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. 

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 29 year old Billy J. Merrill of Gary.   Merrill was found to be driving while suspended with a prior charge. He was taken into custody. 

A passenger in the vehicle, 19 year old Angelina Marie Sutton-Houart of Griffith was found to be in possession of a synthetic drug.  She was also taken into custody. Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County Jail and both on bonds set at $1,505 each.

Officer’s located the female in question along with another male.  She advised that she was there on her own free will.
