12/11/12  Are you interested in bird watching? Want to learn how to identify birds? Come bare the cold, or heat wave-it is Indiana, and help the staff and volunteers at Potawatomi Park identify and track bird populations on the park grounds. All count data is also forwarded to the National Audubon Society for national compilation for scientific purposes.

The Winter Bird Count is December 29th and kicks-off at 8 a.m. at the Interpretive Center.  This event is free and includes an annual compilation report if email is provided. This is a fun way to see the park in the winter time while helping the park collect bird data. Contact the park if you interested or have questions at their email WWW.GETINTONATURE.COM or call them at 574-498-6550.
