Last Tuesday night the 8th grade football team traveled to Warsaw to take on Lakeview in the NELMSC championship. The young Rockies dominated Lakeview 42-0 to win the championship. Offensive leaders were Colten Schuler with 3 touchdowns, David Bacon, Caleb Koss, and Tristen McMillen each had a touchdown. Jake Young had 3 extra points. The offensive line made up of Dylan Manuwal, Kylen Thomas, James Smith, Zack Xaver, Matt Roeder, and Travis Owen opened holes for the backs all night. Defensive leaders were Patrick Houser, Nate Nixon, Michael Lamb, Gabe Bastardo, Schuler and Koss. Kyle McGinty had a great game on defense picking off 2 passes and recovering a fumble on special teams. Young and Nixon each had a fumble recovery. The
8th grades final record is 10-2. Congratulations on a great season.
