The second game started out with Lincoln down but they responded after a time-out and won 25-14. It was a great win for Lincoln, as Lincoln has not won the conference tourney in several years. The 7th grade Lincoln Redstorm volleyball team won the NLC conference championship on Saturday which marked the first time a Lincoln volleyball team had won a conference championship in almost 10 years. They brought home the plaque and maintained their perfect 20-0 record. In the first match, played on Wednesday night against Whitco, the ladies won in two games. The first game was 25-20 and the second game was 15 to 25 to advance them in the tourny on Saturday.

On Saturday, the girls faced Riverview first. They won the match in 2 games. The first game was 25-15 and 25-23. It all really came down to serving and serve receive. So thanks to  wicked serves from Makenzie Quissell, Leah Smith, and Bailey Eveland and great passes from Alexis McVicker and MacKenzie Scheetz the Lady Redstorm moved on to the championship match.
In the championship match, the lady Redstorm faced Crestview middle school. When Lincoln faced Crestview at the last tourny, it was a hard fought match, so the girls knew they had to step up the intensity. Lincoln took the match in 2 games– 25-19 and 25-15. MacKenzie Scheetz and Kendall Rhodes led the team in serving. Alexis McVicker and Leah Smith lead the team in passing. Alli Andrews led the team in kills and tips. However, it was definitely a whole team effort to bring home the championship! Great job lady Redstorm!!
