The Lady Pilgrims Volleyball team upset 22-5 SB St. Joseph Lady Indians 3-1 last night at PHS.    Senior Amber Redinger had a career night with 19 Kills and 8 blocks for Plymouth.  Behind her efforts were two more Seniors Marissa Garmen and Andrea Shook who combined for 15 Kills.   Sophomore Haley Harrell finished with 34 Assists in the game.

“This was a great team win tonight for us”, said Coach Doug West.  “Our girls (Plymouth) really battled on every point.  St. Joe is a great team whose coached well, and they kept coming at us and we countered.   I’m so proud of our effort tonight.  We beat a VERY GOOD team.”    Plymouth now 16-12 will be in action Thursday vs Northridge at PHS.

The Plymouth Boys Soccer squad (5-9-4) opened up their Sectional opener with a Shootout win over Northwood.  Alex Orellana’s PK score was the difference maker in the 4-2 PK win.   The win erases a disappointing 4-1 loss to Northwood earlier in the season.   Trevor Niedlinger’s tying goal in the first half (1-1) held until the 80th minute of regulation, where two five minute overtime periods couldn’t decide the finish either.    Plymouth’s next opponent is another team whom they lost to during the Regular Season, Culver Military Academy on Wednesday at the Kindt SoccerPlex.

On Monday the Lincoln Red Storm volleyball teams hosted Warsaw Lakeview.

The 8th grade lost the first game 25-15. The team came back to win the second game 25-21, and secured the win with a 15-7 third game win. The team is now 16 and 2. Leaders for the match were:
