06/14/12 There is still time to register for the 2012 Senior Classic Games hosted by Plymouth Park Department and Miller’s Senior Living Community of Plymouth. The registration deadline is Monday, June 25, 2012.
Scott Michel and Anna Corbett are game coordinators and they state that the games are open to any senior man or woman. The games will be held in Plymouth’s Centennial Park and participating sport’s businesses July 1-5.
Adults ages 50 and older are encouraged to sign up for the different events including a 3-mile bike race, doubles and singles tennis, shuffleboard, bowling, men and women’s golf, a basketball free-throw contest and a corn-hole contest.
Closing ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday, July 5 at 8:00 p.m. at the Young Amphitheatre. The Sentimental Journey’s of Bourbon will end the event with a concert of Big Band music.
