02/13/12  The Lincoln boys had a great Saturday of Wrestling going 5-0 and winning the Indian Springs Invitational.  After a slow start against Adam’s Central (66-34), the boys improved drastically in the next three rounds by beating Lakeland 103-6,Garret 90-18, and East Noble 102-10.  They closed out the day on a high note defeating a tough Indian Springs squad 68-48.  In a day where the young Rockies were shorthanded due to illness and injury it was a total team effort that got the victory.  “We have a lot of kids who wrestle above their weight to help the team, we have even more kids who don’t get to wrestle a lot, but do a great job of pushing their teammates in practice,” said Coach Phil Koops. Wrestlers who were undefeated on the day were Cody Allmon, Micah Calhoun, Triston Rodriguez, Bodie Neidig, Jeremy Splix, Matt Thompson, Matt Friar, Zac Xaver, Brandon Mattix, Jake Sayton, and Damien White.  Coach Koops commented, “We had a lot of young wrestler’s show some really gutsy performances today even though they didn’t always come out on top.  I’ll never be able to recognize all the unsung heroes, but Kevin Sibal, Eric Marin, Terrence Hooten,Jesus Rubella, Chris Roberts, Colton Schuler, and Nate Schlemmer all deserve some kudo’s for wrestling extremely tough on Saturday”

Plymouth is undefeated so far this season and will be at LaVille on Monday.
