08/22/11 Members of the Marshall County Council will begin the 2012 Budget Hearings at 9 a.m. on Monday.  This is a public meeting where citizens can ask questions and make comments on the various budgets as they are reviewed.

First thing on Monday the Council will approve on first reading the M.C. Solid Waste Budget and the Lake Maxinkuckee Sewer District budget for 2011.  At 9:15 the county commissioners will present their 2012 budget recommendations including salaries, wages, and personnel.  They will then present their budget requests for drainage board, Cum Cap Development, Rainy Day, Commissioners and the Special CAGIT budgets.

The remainder of the day till approximately 4 p.m. various department heads and elected officials will present their budget requests.

The County Budget Hearings continue on Tuesday and should be completed by noon.

The meetings will be held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
