05/12/11  Marshall County Sheriff, Tom Chamberlin recently released the April Monthly Activity Report for his department. 

The top 10 booking reasons into the jail last month were; 1st Failure to Appear, 2nd Operating while Intoxicated, 3rd Public Intoxication, 4th Driving while Suspended, 5th Theft, 6th Purchase of Precursors, 7th Trespass, 8th Possession of Cocaine or Meth, 9th Battery, and topping out the top 10 Possession of Marijuana. 

A total of 165 people were arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail during April.  Various department from around the county bring prisoners in including the Argos PD with 3 males, Bourbon PD with 1 male, Bremen PD with 7 males and 1 female,  the Indiana State Police arrested 12 males while the officers from the Marshall County Police Department attested 66 males and 12 females and Plymouth PD transported 45 males and 15 females. 

Marshall County Dispatchers answered 1039 9-1-1 calls and dispatched police to 638 calls.  26 for Argos Police, 24 for Bourbon, 71 for Bremen, 27 for Culver, 273 for Marshall County Police and 203 for Plymouth Police. 

County 9-1-1 Center dispatched 118 fire calls, 1 for Argos Fire, 3 for Bourbon Fire, 6 for Bremen Fire, 7 for Culver Fire, 34 for LaPaz Fire, 33 for Plymouth Fire, 19 for Polk Township Fire and 2 for Tippecanoe Fire.

228 EMS calls were dispatched by the County 9-1-1 Center in April; 9 Calls for Argos, 16 for Bourbon, 40 for Bremen, 23 for Culver, 28 for LaPaz, 110 fore Plymouth and 9 for Walkerton.   

Marshall County dispatchers also answered 981 calls for service on the non emergency lines.  833 were for police, 80 for EMS and 40 for fire. 

Also during the month of April Marshall County Deputies self initiated 606 calls, through traffic stops, assisting motorists, removing debris from roadways and etc.  They covered 43 accidents; 27 were property damage and 16 involved personal injury.   Deputies submitted 130 case reports and submitted 23 citations.
