Twirler Alli Dennie Competes at IN State Fair

08/22/11 On Saturday, August 20th, Plymouth seventh grader, Alli Dennie competed at the Indiana State Fair Baton Competition.

Alli won seven first place trophies, three being grand champion awards.

She won awards in intermediate dance twirl and beginner and intermediate strut as well as advanced presentation.

Girls compete in the different events first at their age level and then the age level winners compete in a twirl off for the grand champion awards.

Alli is the state fair beginner strut champ as well as intermediate strut and dance twirl champ winning three twirl offs.  She debuted her two baton routine as well and earned a great score receiving second place in beginner two baton.

This competition at the Indiana State Fair is for girls all over the state and both USTA and NBTA twirlers were in attendance.  It is a fun competition that ends with a parade of champions around the fairgrounds.
