Girls Night Out for Triton Elementary Girls

May 13, 2014

“Girls Night Out” was held at Triton Elementary School the evening of Friday, May 2nd.  There were sixty girls in attendance from 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.

The girls enjoyed a treasure hunt, a demonstration on skin care, exhibited by a “Mary Kay” representative, and nail glam.  They also took part in a video and presentation by teacher, Karly Keiper.  Ms. Keiper shared with the girls how magazine photos are touched up to make girls look flawless even when they’re not that way.  After that presentation, Triton High School junior and senior girls modeled their prom dresses, worn the weekend before, with the younger girls oohing and aahing.   Pizza with all of the trimmings was enjoyed by all.  The Grand finale was an uplifting talk by Sheila Monesmith Martin, a former Triton Junior Miss.   The girls are already asking when there will be another Girls night out!
