January 16, 2015

MCCO_Miller'sMembers of the Marshall County Church Orchestra met together Thursday evening for an informal practice session at Miller’s Senior Living Community.  The MCCO is on winter hiatus until rehearsals begin in March of 2015.  However several small groups and ensembles within the MCCO will still meet for rehearsal and will perform at various nursing facilities and assisted living communities throughout the area.

The MCCO is under the direction of Donald Harness.  When the full orchestra is together there are thirty-five members.  The smaller groups with-in the orchestra include the MCCO Ensemble, Music and More, and  the MCCO Jazz Band which will play at Miller’s Senior Living Community during their Mardi Gras Celebration on Tuesday, February 17th.

The MCCO welcomes musicians of all ages and skill levels from Marshall County and the surrounding counties.  Anyone interested in booking or joining the Marshall County Church Orchestra should call Don Harness at 574-936-7357.
