Interior and exterior improvements are planned for the Plymouth Police Department and Monday evening during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting quotes were opened for the renovations.
Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi and Police Chief Dave Bacon opened the three quotes received for the project. Versatile Painting and Drywall from Culver was the high quote with a total amount of $26,920 which includes painting on the exterior all the way around the building including the wood trim. The interior project includes removal of the wallpaper and painting.
The second quote was from Houin’s Painting Inc. from Plymouth. Their quote was $6,650 for the interior and exterior painting.
The final quote was from Schoberg and Schoberg Inc. from Plymouth. They were the only company to quote the renovation work of adding an interior wall. Their quote was $21,846.
Council-member Don Ecker asked to have an expected start and completion dates included in the negotiation process and documented.
Quotes were accepted and will be reviewed with a recommendation being presented during the first meeting in October.
