Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests by City Police

Arrested_handcuffA South Bend man was arrested Wednesday evening for driving without ever receiving a license.

At 9:25 Officer Paul Stamper pulled over 36 year old Jason Thomas for running a red light. During the traffic stop it was found that Thomas had never received a driver’s license. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a $255 cash bond. Thomas was released at 10:35 after posting bond.

About 11:15 Wednesday night Officer Shanna Gilmer stopped a vehicle at Michigan Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail for an equipment violation. The driver, 19 year old Bridget Deaton of Plymouth was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

She was transported to the County Jail and held on a $750 cash bond. Deaton will appear in Marshall Superior Court II on September 16th.
