02/18/11 This summer Plymouth High School junior Pricilla Hammonds will be participating in the People to People Student Ambassador program.  She will be traveling to Japan and visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima for 14 days.  Pricilla will be with a delegation of 39 other students from northern Indiana.

The opportunity does come with a price tag and Pricilla has been working on soliciting funds and raising money for her trip.

This Friday, February 18th Jimmy John’s in Plymouth will host a Community Night for the People to People program.  On Friday Jimmy John’s will donate 15 percent of sales to the cultural exchange program.  To qualify you must present the flyer when you come in to the restaurant at 2129 North Oak Drive.  Flyers are available at the Plymouth Fire Department.

The People to People Student Ambassador program was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956.
