WDA_Pigs_2Kindergarten students at Washington Discovery Academy in Plymouth got to take advantage of the nice weather by spending some time outside learning about pigs on Monday.

Local farmer, Wayne Houin, is one of the student’s grandfathers.  He brought two baby piglets to the school from his Marshall County farm.

WDA_Pigs_1Kindergartners at WDA are learning about animal features and how they move. This is part of the current PBL (Project Based Learning) project. Students learned about chickens and ducks last week and a baby goat is scheduled to visit the students on Thursday afternoon.  After spring break students will continue to learn more about other animals.
