Starke County Sheriff DeptOn the morning of Monday, February 16th the Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary report in the 7,000 south block of 250 West in North Judson.

The victim stated that he was outside and witnessed two males coming out of his garage.   The suspects took off running through the woods with items in their hands.  The victim discovered various items missing from his garage including chainsaws, a portable welder, hand tools and other power tools.

Starke County police officers were able to follow the foot prints in the snow to a residence north of the original crime scene.  There they located the stolen items in a pole barn on the property.

19 year old Rickie Clemons of Knox is being held in the Starke County Jail on preliminary charges of burglary and theft.

His bond has not been set yet.
