This is Superintendent Michele Riise. The purpose of this message is to inform you that all students within Argos Community Schools are safe and busy learning. Approximately, one hour ago, our high school principal received a phone call regarding a tweet that was discovered by a Rochester citizen. The tweet indicated that the person would do harm at a school. A specific school was not mentioned but Rochester police department alerted all surrounding schools so that all schools could be on alert. After discussing the matter with local police, I chose not to fully lockdown Argos Schools; however, we are on heightened alert and are ensuring that all doors are locked and visitors are checking in and out of the office. In addition, the police have been visiting our campus regularly. I assure all of you that Argos Schools is taking every measure possible to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
