marijuana-cuffsA theft at Wal-Mart Wednesday evening about 6:30 resulted in the arrest of two people from Walkerton.

Plymouth Officer Stuart Krynock was dispatched to Wal-Mart at 6:28 for a shoplifter who refused to stop when approached by Loss Prevention and left the store.  The officer located the suspect, 31 year old Shane Adam Dayney in the parking lot and Wal-Mart employees confirmed it was the same person.

During the investigation 29 year old Jessica Joy Sheaks claimed to be Mr. Dayney’s wife.  She produced a pipe and a plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance smelling of marijuana from inside the vehicle the pair had driven to the store.

Shane Dayney was arrested for theft and possession of marijuana and held on a $1,505 cash bond.  Jessica Sheaks was arrested on charge of possession of marijuana with a $1,505 cash bond. Both were issued March 10th court dates in Marshall Superior Court II.
