The man who was shot by police Monday night in the K-Mart Parking lot in Plymouth has been identified as Lane G. Dodson, 33, of Tomahawk Drive in Plymouth.
The armed confrontation developed after a state trooper stopped Dodson for questioning from an earlier battery case that he was allegedly involved in. Dodson was shot by police after he raised a hand gun toward the officers.
The names of the two officers involved in the shooting are expected to be released Wednesday afternoon by their respective departments.
*All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
