Bremen Police Chief Matt Hassel released the September 12 to 18th activity report for his department. There were a total of 3 traffic citations issued and 4 traffic warnings. Bremen Police also issued a total of 5 ordinance violations.
Bremen Police investigated four crashes during the week…at State Road 106 and Stare Road 331 a property damage crash, on the SR 331 to US 6 on ramp a property damage crash, a personal injury accident in front of 1231 West Plymouth Street and a property damage crash at 1115 West North Street.
Bremen Police arrested Francisco Castillo of Bremen on the 13th for public intox and disorderly conduct and Dustin Finger of Bremen for battery with moderate bodily injury, public intox, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and criminal mischief. On September 14th Deana K. Smith of Mishawaka was arrested for operating while intoxicated, OWI above .15 and OWI endangering. Larry W. Baltes of Bremen was arrested on the 15th for OWI endangering and OWI with a prior and on the 16th James Hunley of Bremen was arrested for felony theft.
There were 5 fire calls Bremen Police responded: on the 12th at 313 S Steward Street for a carbon monoxide detector activation and a crash at Plymouth/Goshen Trail and 4th Road for a personal injury accident. Bremen Police were dispatched to a fire call at 1231 West Plymouth Street for an unknown crash and on the 17th to 4889 West Shore Drive for an unknown type of fire. Their final response last week was to 317 East Bike Street for a carbon monoxide detector activation.
