Police-singPlymouth Police Chief Dave Bacon presented the August Activity report to members of the Board of Public Works and Safety during their meeting Monday evening.

His department handled 865 calls for information. City officers conducted 300 traffic stops, issued 252 citations, responded to 206 complaints and were dispatched to 177 9-1-1 calls last month. Plymouth police officers wrote 149 case reports, made 53 arrests, handled 49 accident reports and were dispatched to 40 alarms in August.

There were 40 animal complaints last month and 38 residential security checks along with 29 assists to other agencies. Plymouth officers conducted 28 vehicle checks, used K9 Jax 27 times and had 14 code enforcements.
