Starting on April 7, Plymouth schools will initiate a new security measure meant to add another layer of protection for our students. As you know each of our schools has a buzzer system along with a camera and microphone for the secretary to talk to the visitor. The secretaries will be using a short script that will ask each visitor to identify him or herself and state the reason for visiting the school. Visitors will need to answer these questions before they are admitted to the school. It may be helpful to call the school in advance and make an appointment so the secretary knows you are visiting. If the secretary is unsure about a visitor she will ask an administrator to go to the door to do further screening.

We hope you understand this new practice and are patient with our secretaries as they do not want to upset any visitor, but they know the importance of keeping our students safe. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the building principal
