01/09/14 On January 15, 2014, Plymouth High School will hold a Freshmen Orientation Program for current eighth graders and opportunities for the parents of current high school students to conference with teachers.

The Freshmen Orientation meeting is designed to create a smooth transition from junior high to high school. At 6:00 parents/students will have an opportunity to visit departmental displays and speak with staff members in the Auxiliary Gym and Cafeteria. At 6:45, a meeting will be held in the auditorium featuring representatives from the administration and athletic department who will discuss school policies, trimester scheduling; and opportunities and goals for the incoming freshmen. School Counselors will provide information on graduation requirements and course selection for the 2014-2015 school year. After the meeting, eighth graders and parents will be offered the opportunity to enroll in the 21stCentury Scholars Program or a chance to meet in a small group setting with teachers both of traditional PHS courses and those offered through Weidner School of Inquiry at PHS.

On that same evening, current PHS students and parents will have the opportunity for prescheduled and “walk in” and conference with teachers from 6:00-8:00. All conferences will be held in individual teacher’s classrooms.
