11/07/13 Santa is coming to town! Welcome him to Plymouth, a destination to get you in the Holiday spirit on the Friday evening the day after Thanksgiving, November 29.  Experience the “White Christmas” Parade of Lights leading up to the lighting of Plymouth’s Christmas tree; these unique lighted floats are sponsored and built by local businesses and organizations.  This event will attract hundreds of people to our historic downtown.

The festivities begin at 6pm where you can listen to sounds of local choirs singing holiday jingles; the parade of lights begins at 6:30pm, while Santa and Mrs. Claus end the parade.  Watch the lighting of the Plymouth Christmas Tree following the parade at the new River Park Square then greet Santa at the Marshall County Historical Museum until 8pm.  Grab hot cocoa and refreshments at various stations downtown and remember to shop at all the downtown retail shops. Bring your families and join the celebration on November 29 from 6-8pm in Historic Downtown Plymouth!  Businesses and organizations are encouraged to be part of the “Parade of Lights.” Parade applications will be accepted until November 22, contact the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce at 574-936-2323 for more information.  We are also looking for groups to sing Christmas Carols that evening, young and old alike.  It could be your family, workers, or organizations.  Contact Judy Clippenger at judyclipp@yahoo.com for more information.
