07/17/13 The construction of NIPSCO’s Reynolds-Topeka Line—a 100 mile electric transmission line from Reynolds to Burr Oak and from Burr Oak to Topeka will create jobs, enhance system reliability, offer environmental benefits and improve access to lower cost electricity for customers. This project is one of 17 other similar projects – lead by the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) occurring across the Midwest.

The second round of public open houses is currently underway and provide additional information about the project and present the proposed routes for public comment and feedback. The maps of the proposed routes are now available on the Maps page of their website.

The closest open house is from 3:30 – 7:00p.m. EST today (Wednesday, July 17) at the Swan Lake Conference Center Ballroom 1 at 5203 Plymouth LaPorte Trail west Plymouth.

The open house is informal where you can come and go as you please. Project team members will be available to answer your questions and provide additional information about the project..

NIPSCO expects to select the final route in August 2013.
