07/12/13 After a rousing kickoff to their Music in the Park season last Friday, Encore Performing Arts will be featuring the popular country western Kari Lynch Band this Friday, July 12.

From their website at www.karilynchband.com, the group lives for rocking the stage and putting on an entertaining and unforgettable show. With exceptional musicianship, accomplished songwriting and incredible enthusiasm, the band brings a dynamic stage presence, impressive lead vocal and solid three-part harmony to every stage.

For them it’s all about the fans and making good music. They’ve experienced playing sold out venues, fairs, festivals, television, radio and opening for major label artists. The band’s chemistry and passion shine through each performance creating a one-of-a-kind, country rocking show.

In their three years together they’ve become one of Michigan’s most talked about and sought after country bands–touring extensively and making frequent trips to Nashville, TN to write songs and play shows.

In 2011, they traveled to Daytona, FL to play the Daytona 500/Speedweek events alongside country artists, Brad Paisley and, Dierks Bentley.

Lynch’s first acoustic EP, “one happy love song…” made it to the iTunes, ‘New & Noteworthy’ list for country music and stayed there for six weeks. The band’s first full band project together, a five song self-titled EP, was released in May 2011 to five star ratings and reviews. “Gettin’ Gone” and “Me and a Bottle of Wine”–two standout tracks from the EP–received airplay on several radio stations. In December 2012, they released their new, highly anticipated project, “Kari Lynch Band EP”. The new single, “Sapphire Blues” quickly gained radio play on several stations and is furthering the Kari Lynch Band’s establishment as one of Michigan’s most promising acts on the country scene.

The band is comprised of Kari on lead vocals, Ryder Jones on electric guitar, Sam Briggs on drums, Jacob Meekhof on bass guitar and Matt Gabriel on the acoustic guitar. Listen to samples of their music on their website.

You won’t meet a more determined, hardworking and driven group of people than the Kari Lynch Band. Undeniable talent, extraordinary work ethic, and a love for creating music and songwriting that extends to the audience with every song. Mixing elements of classic country, rock, folk, and contemporary country–this is a band you won’t forget.
