02/20/13  On Friday, February 15th, the Starke County Sheriff’s Department received information that 44 year old, Timothy Barnette of Knox was in possession of heroin and was known to be on probation through the Starke Circuit Court.  A Starke County Sheriff’s Detective responded to an address on Denny Street in Knox with Starke County Probation Officers.  Upon arriving to the location a routine search of the residence revealed drugs and paraphernalia in Mr. Barnette’s bedroom. After conducting tests on the unknown substance it was determined to be heroin.  Mr. Barnette was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia along with a probation violation. He was transported to the Starke County Jail.

On Monday, February 18th, a Starke County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in Monterey for a traffic infraction.  During the traffic stop the Deputy identified the front seat passenger as Roland Minix also known as Tiger Minix.  Mr. Minix was taken into custody on an active parole warrant and possession of marijuana and was transported to the Starke County Jail.
