11/17/10 Plymouth’s own inSPIRATIVE Art Gallery held a unique art exhibit on Friday night. Gallery Director Angela Leed invited young and old to paint, draw, color or write on artwork that will be displayed to the public.

Although the opening night was November 12, the project will continue through December 9.

Leed chose the timing of the project to coincide with events being held downtown that included a horse and carriage ride, hot chocolate provided by the Plymouth Park Department, and street fair caricatures provide by The Midas Center and iHEARTplymouth.

Joining in the evening were Dan O-Day Dance Studio classes, The Midas Center, Heartland Artists and the Herb Store.

Everyone is invited to stop in at the gallery located in downtown Plymouth on Michigan Street or to follow the progress of the art project on the internet at www.ingalleryandstudios.blogspot.com.

Additionally, three pieces of artwork are on exhibit that were donated and auctioned at the 2010 Ounce of Prevention, MargariTATAville Party that was held Saturday, October 2nd at Plymouth Country Club.

Artists involved include Amber Bloss and Leed. Bloss is a Chicago based artist, who began her career with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She now runs the very successful decorative paint company, Amber Bloss Studios.

In addition to directing the local gallery, Leed is an internationally recognized artist and has shown in the E.U., New York, and Chicago. She is currently working on the series “Manufactured Community”, sponsored in part by an Individual Artist Grant by the Indiana Arts Commission. Future exhibitions include an additional collaborative exhibition at the Langlab in South Bend.
