08/22/12 The 2nd Annual Marshall County Soaring Eagle Recognition Dinner will be held on Wednesday, August 29th starting at 6:00 p.m. at Christo’s Banquet Center on Lincolnway East.

The prestigious Soaring Eagle Award is a scouting award exclusive to the LaSalle Council.  This award recognizes individuals who have been successful in their field of endeavor and have demonstrated integrity, a record of volunteer leadership, service to youth and their community.  The recipient must carry “The Spirit of Scouting” into their adult life.  Former Mayor, Jack Greenlee will be honored with this award on the 29th.

Marshall County Boy Scout “Good Turn” Award recognizes outstanding companies or individuals that make a significant and enduring contribution in the community where they live.  They are noted for good turns that focus on one or more of the five core values of the Boy Scouts of America: Leadership, Achievement, Community, Service, Charter and the Outdoors.  This year the award will be presented to American Container and Leonard Isban.
