09/27/10 A probation visit conducted by the Marshall County Probation Department and the Indiana State Police uncovered a substantial amount of methamphetamine Wednesday during a home check. When officers arrived at the home of Scarlett Murray, 36, of 9894 4th of July Ave. in Syracuse, they were confronted with a myriad of illegal activity. Murray is on probation through Marshall County and is subject to visits by her probation officer.

During the routine residence check officers discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine. It is estimated that the meth has a street value of $130 per gram. Two male subjects were also found at the home. Scott Landis, 42, of Warsaw, was found to have a body attachment warrant for his arrest out of Kosciusko County. The second subject, David Skaggs, 43, was living at the residence with Murray. Both Skaggs and Murray were arrested and face charges of possession and dealing methamphetamine. All three subjects were taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.

Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
