The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department released the November 2022 Departmental Report and Jail Report on Thursday.
The top ten offenses for inmates being lodged in the County Jail were #1 Failure to Appear (17), #2 Operating While Intoxicated (8), #3 Theft (6), #4 Criminal Mischief (5), #5 Possession of Marijuana (5), #6 Violation of Home Detention or Pretrial Release (5), #7 Resisting Law Enforcement (4), #8 Possession of Cocaine/Narcotic (3), #9 Driving While Suspended (3), and #10 Possession of Methamphetamine (3).
During November 2022 there were a total of 71 bookings into the Marshall County Jail with Argos and Bourbon Police each having one, Bremen Police 6, Indiana State Police 9, Plymouth Police 6, Community Corrections 4, and Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 44.
On December 2nd when the Jail Report was conducted there were 103 inmates in the jail. 4 inmates were serving time with Misdemeanor charges, 20 inmates are serving time with felony charges, 67 inmates are being held for pretrial, 8 are awaiting arraignment and 4 are being held for another agency. Of the 103 inmates in the county jail, 85 are males and 18 are females.
The average daily population of the county jail in November was 111.7. The average daily population in May 2022 was 144.6 and one year ago in November 2021, the average population was 149.9. There are a total of 1,402 active warrants.
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a total of 100 accidents in November with 92 of them being Property Damage, 7 were Personal Injury and there was 1 Fatal.
County Officers also issued 27 warnings and or citations and handled 42 case reports.
Marshall County Central Dispatch answered 2,770 administrative calls and 1,301 911 calls last month. 99.85% of the 911 calls were answered in less than 15 seconds and 100% were answered in less than 20 seconds. Prepared Live was used 122 times. There were also 2,939 CAD calls for service entered.
