09/02/11 On Thursday, August 1st at approximately 5:42 p.m. a 9-1-1 call was placed to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department from Lake Of The Woods in Marshall County. The caller stated that a woman had been in the water face down for several seconds and was not breathing. CPR was started at the scene by her husband and family friend. Emergency responders arrived and continued CPR. The victim is 37 year old Paige Edison of Bremen. She was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment. It is believed that Paige was involved in a water skiing incident that resulted in her being knocked unconscious in the water.
The incident is being investigated by the Department Of Natural Resources Conservation Officers at this time. Other agencies at the scene were Marshall County Police Department, Bremen Fire Department and Tri County Ambulance.
