Members of the Marshall County Council will meet (this Monday) morning at 9 A.M. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.

The agenda for the meeting includes a request for additional appropriation by the Director of the Plymouth Public Library, Steven Buras.  The request is for additional building renovations.  Because the Library Board is not elected, the request must be approved by the County Council.

Faith Freed, Administrator of the County Health Department will seek approval to apply for a $50,000 Crisis Co Ag Supplemental Testing Site continuation.  Last week the commissioners approved the request, learning that the funding will allow for the continuation of COVID-19 testing behind the LifePlex.

Jason Peters, Superintendent of the County Highway Department will discuss the shortage he has to complete this year’s Community Crossing projects and the adjacent projects.  Last week the County Commissioners approved seeking an appropriation of $1.2 million from the ARPA Funds.

Also on the agenda of the County Council meeting is a discussion with Sheriff Hassel on Lake Patrol wages and they will consider additional appropriation and transfer requests.

The County Auditor will present an amendment to the 2022 Salary Ordinance and consider the establishment of a new fund for ARPA Lead Level Reduction and Body Cameras.

The County Council meeting is open to the public and comments and questions about agenda items are allowed.
