Karen Heim, Culver Town Clerk/Treasurer would like citizens of Culver to know there are five seats open on the Redevelopment Commission and two seats open on the Tree Commission.
The Redevelopment Commission in Culver is made up of five members appointed by the Culver Town Council. Three members are appointed by the town council president, and two members are appointed by the council body to serve a one year term. The Culver Redevelopment Commission (CRC) promotes new industrial and commercial growth within the Town of Culver. In addition, it creates funding for new growth and expansion of utilities.
The Culver Tree Commission meets as necessary to plan for planting, pruning, and tree removal each year. Members of the commission are appointed to four year terms by the Culver Town Council.
Applicants for either commission must be residents of the Town of Culver
The Culver Town Council will accept applications through Friday, January 8. The applications may be turned in to the Culver Town Hall at 200 East Washington Street, or via e-mail to kheim@townofculver.org. Appointments will be made at the January 12 council meeting.
