Laura Mann, Promotion of the City Coordinator sent out a press release Wednesday afternoon announcing the cancellation of this year’s Mayor’s Month of Music. The press release states the Mayor of Plymouth was hoping not to make such an announcement but due to the restrictions that would have to be in place for the safety of all attendees and musicians, the Mayor’s Month of Music 2020 is being cancelled.
Mann said, “We have already spoken to all of the performers that were scheduled to play this year and they will be back in 2021.”
The release went on to say, “So mark your calendars and be ready to have an awesome time in 2021, when all of this is behind us. Please understand that this decision was one that we did not take lightly. We worked diligently with the Health Department and feel that this is the best choice.”
