On Monday, July 13th at approximately 3:30 A.M. Marshall County Sheriff`s Deputy Bennett stopped to check on a vehicle in the area of US 31 and 14C Road. While making contact with the driver who was identified as 46 year old, Luke Redmon of Morehead, Kentucky drugs and a firearm were located. Redmon was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on charges of Carrying a Handgun without a License, Legend Drug Deception, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug with Enhancing Circumstances, and Possession of Controlled Substances with Enhancing Circumstances with bond set at $1,505.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
